About the Author
Sue Davis didn’t grow up with privilege or power. She grew up in a small Kansas town, the daughter of a working-class family that was always chasing a little bit of “better.”
When her father’s back injury ended his career, the family had to start over from scratch — packing up, moving states, and learning the hard way that the American Dream doesn’t come with guarantees.
Years later, Sue found herself in Silicon Valley at the dawn of the tech boom. She sold into the offices of Gates, Jobs, and Ellison before they were household names, watching the birth of an industry that promised to change the world — but mostly just concentrated wealth and power.
She learned quickly that the system wasn’t designed for regular people. It was designed to take from them. She’s lost healthcare when she needed it most. She’s watched her own family get chewed up by scams, greed, and corruption. And she’s seen how lies, money, and politics bleed everyday Americans dry while the rich get richer.
