Editorial Standards & Corrections Policy

Editorial Standards & Corrections Policy

Effective Date: February

2026

Politically Yours is committed to clarity, accountability, and responsible civic discourse. This page outlines the standards that guide our editorial work and how we handle corrections.

Editorial Approach

Our content includes analysis, commentary, long-form publications, podcasts, and video. We focus on examining public institutions, public officials, corporate conduct, media systems, and civic structures.

Our work may include opinion and interpretation. When we present factual claims, we strive to base them on:

  • Public records
  • Reputable reporting
  • Official documents
  • Direct quotations
  • Cited sources

We distinguish clearly between reporting, analysis, and opinion.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made independently.

Affiliate relationships, donations, or memberships do not determine coverage, conclusions, or tone.

We do not publish paid endorsements disguised as editorial content.

Accuracy

We make reasonable efforts to verify factual information before publication. However, no publication is immune to error.

If new information emerges that materially affects the accuracy of a published piece, we will review and update the content as appropriate.

Corrections Policy

If you believe a factual error has been published, please contact us with:

  • The article title and link
  • The specific statement in question
  • A description of the alleged error
  • Supporting documentation, if available

If a factual error is confirmed:

  • We will correct the article
  • We may add a correction note for transparency
  • We will update the content in a timely manner

We do not remove content solely because it is controversial or disputed. Corrections are made for factual inaccuracies, not disagreements of opinion.

Opinion & Commentary

Much of our content includes analysis and commentary. Opinions are based on interpretation of available information and are clearly presented as such.

Disagreement with an opinion does not constitute grounds for correction.

Transparency

When applicable, we may update articles to:

  • Clarify language
  • Add new context
  • Include additional sourcing

Significant updates may be noted within the article.

Civility & Responsibility

We believe democracy requires both free expression and structured discourse. Our standards aim to balance robust critique with factual grounding.
